Inner Alignment Practice Talk

Inner Alignment for Outer Impact – Mastering the Hidden Drivers that Get in the Way of Being Our Best Self,

I’m working on refining my talk on Inner Alignment, and I’m planning to do a couple of practice sessions soon – April 2 at 10 am and April 8 at 6 pm. I’m sharing this with a few friends and colleagues.

Would you be open to joining me?

OR

I also plan to record the sessions.

The version I will present, Inner Alignment for Outer Impact – Mastering the Hidden Drivers that Get in the Way of Being Our Best Self,  is designed for general audiences. I have variations tailored to specific types of audiences, too.

Here are some questions that I would love your thoughts on, either after the talk or later via a call or email.

  • What worked well? (stories, practices, content) And why?
  • What could be improved? (What was confusing, boring, or unhelpful?)
  • What other suggestions, ideas, or thoughts do you have that could make it more impactful, memorable, and actionable?

Description:

Stress doesn’t just come from what’s happening around us—it often comes from what’s happening within us. Uncertainty at work, too much to do, or challenging relationships can trigger internal reactions that escalate stress, cloud thinking, and leave us feeling drained or stuck.

In this program, participants are introduced to Inner Alignment—a powerful approach that helps people understand what’s driving their reactions and calm stress at its source. Rather than pushing feelings aside or trying to “power through,” participants learn how to relate to their inner experiences with curiosity and compassion, even in high-pressure situations.

Grounded in the principles of the Internal Family Systems (IFS) psychological framework, this session introduces the ALIGN Model, a simple, easy-to-apply approach. With the model, participants will –

  • Learn how to recognize common protective patterns—such as striving, pleasing, avoiding, or self-criticism—in real time.
  • Explore how relating to internal experiences with curiosity rather than suppression can enhance calm, confidence, clarity, and decision-making, especially during difficult situations.
  • Discover how recognizing both their own internal reactions and those influencing others can reduce reactivity, strengthen relationships, and make work and life easier.
